Boris Vladimirovich Stürmer

(27 July 1848 ---> 9 September 1917) 

Boris Stürmer was born into a landowning family in Baykovo, Tver Oblast. Boris studied Law at St. Petersburg University. He became Governor of Novgorod in 1894, and Governor of Yaroslavl in 1896. On January 20th 1916, Boris became Prime Minister of the Constitutional Monarchy of Russia, simultaneously acting as Minister for Foreign Affairs. Boris was disliked and accused of 'Germanization'. On 19 November 1916, Boris was sacked as Prime Minister, by the Czar. After the deposition of Czar Nicholas in 1917, Boris was arrested and died at the Peter and Paul Fortress in 1917.
