Ivan Vonifatevich Prisyagin

(1885 ---> 26 September 1918) 

He was born in 1885 in the village of Olkhovka, Russia. In 1902, he became a tanner (treating animal skins to make leather). He became a member of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party in 1904. 

He was arrested in 1910, but escaped and emigrated to France. In 1911, he studied at Longjumeau, France. 

In 1912, he went to Barnaul. He was elected Head of the Central Bureau of Trade Unions. In 1917, he became Chairman of the Committee of Bolshevik Barnaul.  In 1917, he became a Member of the Provincial Committee of the RSDLP.  

He became a publisher of the newspaper 'Voice of Labour'. In May 1918, he became Chief of Defence for Barnaul. In June 1918, he was arrested and was executed on 26th September 1918.
